UEFA President Michel Platini has welcomed the new president of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Mahmut Özgener, to the House of European Football in Nyon.

Mr Özgener, who was elected TFF president in August following the sudden death of predecessor Hasan Doğan the previous month, was accompanied by his compatriot, UEFA first vice-president Senes Erzik, TFF vice-president Lutfi Arıboğan and TFF board member Levent Kızıl. Talks between Mr Platini, UEFA General Secretary David Taylor and the TFF delegation centered on Turkish and European football issues of mutual interest. Discussions also took place with officials from UEFA's national associations division, headed by director Theodore Theodoridis. Talks focused on the TFF's participation in and contribution to, UEFA programmes.
